What happens when modules get dirty? The yield from your solar system can drop considerably due to dirt residue such as dust, moss, bird droppings and pollution. Many panels have what is termed as ‘self cleaning glass’. However, this does not prevent a build up of dirt over time, particularly on panels that are set at a low angle.

Our solar PV designer can look into the performance figures to compare them to sun charts to confirm if the solar performance figures are on target.
Climate Force Ltd carry out maintenance and inspections of Solar PV systems including the installation of solar panel pigeon protection. We install heavy duty, high grade, 3mm diameter galvanised mesh is used. The 50mm square mesh is custom fitted on site to the required gap. Pigeons can be smart! Anything less than heavy duty wire mesh will not hold them up for long! Pestfix durable clips are specifically designed to work with most types of solar panels.

Step One – Survey:
Our technician will carry out a survey to assess the measures required to protect the solar panels. We will produce a no obligation quote to carry out the works.
Step Two- Preparation:
Access scaffold is erected. Pigeon debris and nest materials are cleared out. The solar panels are cleaned.
Step Three: Protection:
Stainless Steel wire mesh is installed and held in place by solar panel clips, designed specifically to attached the mesh to the solar panels.
